We are thrilled to announce the redevelopment of the John Hall Reserve Pavilion at Dunne Street, Kingsbury, as part of our commitment to enhancing community health and wellbeing.
Why Redevelop?
The existing pavilion has been identified as a priority for redevelopment in our 2020 audit and is a key action in the Darebin Council Plan (2021—2025). The outdated facility will be transformed to meet the needs of our growing sports community, with a special focus on women and girls.
Community Benefits
The new pavilion will feature:
Gender-inclusive changerooms
Publicly accessible toilet
Community social rooms
Sports field lighting
This will ensure more community members have access to facilities that promote healthy, active lifestyles.
Sustainability
The design exceeds Council’s ESD policy requirements and includes:
Water catchment reticulation
Solar PV system
Heat pump hot water units
High-efficiency electric appliances
